We used Lucy’s expertise for our 3rd child when he was 16 months old. As bed times were pretty busy with three, we had pooled all the kids into one room at bedtime and would leave with the baby towards the end to put him in his own room but it seemed to make him pretty hyper and we knew we needed to do something about the lack of a dedicated bedtime wind-down routine for him. I was still breastfeeding him through the night and all of this was resulting in very unpredictable and broken nights’ sleep. We had a good idea about the foundations of good sleep having sought Lucy’s help for our first child, four years ago and read the books but were too tired to try to figure it out and didn’t know how to make everything work with three kids.
Lucy is so professional to deal with and the whole process is really clearly laid out. The calls with her are great. She works with you to come up with a sleep plan that you are happy with and her warmth and humanity really come across. It is so reassuring to have a plan and to take away all the second guessing and the “stay and support” philosophy sat well with us. Within a short time the baby was sleeping through the night, with no night feedings and a really lovely wind-down routine, ending in us putting him into his cot and walking out the door with absolutely no distress on his part. We are emerging from the fog, which is pretty life changing and can’t thank Lucy enough for supporting us through it all.
