We were having serious sleep trouble with our 3 & 1/2 year old daughter. She is youngest of our two girls and our other daughter was a dream at bedtime and always slept the night so all this was new for us. We tried many different things but nothing ever seemed to work. We were at the stage where she was awake for at least 5 nights out of 7. It got to the point then that she would not even settle to sleep at bedtime and was often still awake at 10pm. Her was having nightmares and waking up to 6 times a night. Every night then we would end up bring her into our bed. Sometimes she would still not sleep there. We were absolutely wrecked and have a new baby due in the Winter and decided we needed serious help. We contacted Lucy and began working with her in the middle of June. Now we knew that things had to get worse before they would improve and really we struggled for the 1st two weeks with the new sleeping plan but all was worth it! This included putting her to bed much earlier and using the stay and support method. We stuck with it and just took one day at the time. We then began to see her sleeping longer and waking less. Lucy was so supportive at each Zoom meeting and through her emails. Each time we spoke to her she progressed our sleep plan to the next stage. We have now finished with Lucy and our daughter is sleeping all night. She is asleep usually for 7.30pm. She sleeps through the night and wakes after 6am. We have a much happier and content little girl who is no longer over tired. Our consultation with Lucy was the best decision we have made with our daughter’s sleep.
