About Me 2026-03-19T20:06:31+00:00

My name is Lucy Wolfe, I am a Child and Adolescent Sleep Practitioner, Relationship Mentor, Post-Graduate Researcher (PhD) and Mum of four children.  I am the author of the bestselling book- The Baby Sleep Solution (2017) and All About Baby Sleep- Your Questions Answered (2020).

I have completed extensive training in psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theories, conscious parenting, child and adolescent development, and sleep health. As a mother of four, I understand the challenges of parenting and have dedicated my career to developing evidence-based, practice informed, child-focused sleep solutions. I am the originator of the stay-and-support method, an approach designed to help children and their parents achieve deeper, more rested sleep without the distress of leaving children to cry alone. My work considers every aspect of the parent-child relationship, helping to identify core reasons behind sleep challenges and supporting age-appropriate changes. I am a graduate of University College Cork in Parent and Relationship Mentoring and hold a first-class honors master’s degree in The Psychotherapy of Relationship Mentoring and I am a post-graduate (PhD) researcher. My work has been widely featured in media outlets, and I regularly appear on national television and radio as a sleep expert. My compassionate approach empowers parents to establish responsive sleep practices that privilege both the child’s and parents’ emotional well-being.

My current PhD research surrounds intergenerational maternal perspectives of infant sleep.  Past research includes an exploration into the lived experience of first time Mums in Ireland

I am the former European Director of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants; a member of The International Association of Child Sleep Consultants and a (PV) Member of the Irish Association of Relationship Mentors.

I am a busy Mum to four amazing young adults and can easily associate with whatever sleep challenges that you may be experiencing, both as a parent and a practitioner. I bring almost two decades of studying sleep and relationships and 15 years of  experience of supporting parents.

Nobody sets out to have a sleep issue, but tendencies can become easily ingrained and spiral quickly out of control, and you can find yourself sleep deprived, desperate, judged and not too sure what to do.  The challenges may be obvious from the early days, or they can emerge as your child gets older.  It is never too early to start laying that foundation for better sleep and it is never too late either to begin to address the sleep challenges that you are confronted by.

From my ongoing training and practice experience, I developed my feeding and sleeping balances that honor the science of sleep and synchronizes your child’s biological rhythm together with my Stay-and-Support method, aligned with many other child-focused adjustments that ultimately enable parents to emotionally appropriately establish better sleep for all and to ensure that it is a long-term solution, rather than a quick fix.

There is no one size fits all approach for any family and the suggestions that I combine for you on a one-to-one basis, will help you feel confident, empowered and assured on your parenting journey.
