So much for sleeping like a baby. Our son seemed to wake up at 5 weeks & fought sleep with every bit of him after that. There were lots of tears, his and ours. As a result he was nearly always overtired and extremely difficult to get to sleep. We spent hours walking, bouncing & driving and wondering how it was going to get any better. If he wasn’t too tired he might nurse to sleep but this had to be repeated numerous times a night. None of us were getting anything like enough sleep and we couldn’t see how to start changing the rut we were in.
Contacting Lucy was the best decision we have made. Everything she said made perfect sense, she provided a detailed step by step guide and was available to support us through the process. It was not easy but we could see improvement after 2-3nights. Now, a month later, R is so much happier and so are we. We have a bed-time routine and R is happy to be put in his cot awake, settles himself and drifts peacefully off to sleep. Things are continuing to improve and now we feel like we know what we are doing and have a plan.
