– We worked with Lucy 3 years ago when our firstborn was 7 months old, He has been a ‘super sleeper’ ever since. We were so impressed with the outcome, we decided to contact Lucy Wolfe when I was pregnant with baby 2 to get generic sleep guidelines in advance to increase the likelihood of our 2nd child being a good sleeper too. …
– We followed the guidlelines and as a result, our new arrival D was a well -rested and content little baby. We were so tuned into his subtle signs we could figure out most of the time when he was tired and then could get him off to sleep and prevent overtiredness and crankiness. He had plenty daytime and night time sleeps which was great for everyone…
– We ran into some health problems with D when he was 6 / 7 / 8 months old and his sleep became a challenge. It was taking an hour or 2 to get him to sleep for naps and at bedtime and when he woke in the middle of the night…… We started resorting to sleep crutches out of desperation even though we knew it was wrong………. Nursing to sleep, rocking to sleep, buggy to sleep, rubbing his back for an hour or two until he fell asleep….. We were all ( D included) frustrated, exhausted + cranky from the effort of getting him to sleep and were feeling really bad that the poor little fellow was exhausted…… Trying to stay awake at work was hard too….. At that point we vowed, ‘ no more kids’!!!!! Our eldest had to be put infront of the TV while we spend hours trying to get the baby to sleep, that seemed wrong! We recognised it was time to get onto Lucy to get a specific programme tailor made for D.
– So here we are at the other side after working with Lucy…… Because we followed her guidelines from when D was a newborn, the ground work was done so it made it easy enough to the changes. We spend 10/ 15 minutes doing the bedtime routine, kiss him goodnight, address close the door, he sleeps for his naps and 12 hours straight at night and we can get on with life… Everyone is a winner…… Harmony has returned to our lives…
– We feel it was well worth the effort of implementing the sleep programme and spending the money. Look at it this way; as a sleep deprived parent you may feel like treating yourself to a hotel break for a night or 2 to recharge the batteries… so you would get 2 relaxing nights for the same price approx as a sleep programme, yet return to chaos and sleepless nights after your hotel break.. With the same money you could get a sleep programme from Lucy Wolfe and the whole family could have hundreds and thousands of relaxing night’s sleep….
– So last week we decided ‘no more kids’, this week we are contemplating a 3rd…….. So please Lucy don’t retire before then so we can make sure number 3 will be a great sleeper too!!!”
