My little boy was sleeping great until he reached 3 months when he went through a growth spurt and his nighttime sleep went haywire. I reached out to Lucy when he was 5 months after trying everything I could think of/read and ruled out everything I thought could be contributing to his sleep issues such as hunger etc. He was napping great during the day but would wake anything up to ten times a night and I just couldn’t figure out why given he was getting appropriate daytime sleep for his age. From five minutes into our first consultation with Lucy I knew I had done the right thing reaching out to her…. It was such a relief to have someone with her knowledge and experience to help us as I had felt very alone and extremely frustrated over the couple of months previous when all my attempts to help him sleep through the night had failed and not to mention I was completely exhausted. Lucy went through a number of things with us during the consultation from his diet, current routine, methods I had tried to date etc. She then talked us through her proposed approach and set up a call for a couple of days time to check on his progress. These calls continued throughout the process and Lucy was also very responsive to ad hoc emails I sent with questions or if I needed advice/support in relation to a particular challenge or difficulty I had encountered she would schedule a call as necessary. My little boy is now sleeping 11 hours straight at night. I can’t put into words how thankful I am that Lucy was able to provide the service she did and the positive effect it has had on our family. I would encourage anyone struggling with similar issues to mine to reach out to Lucy. I am only sorry that I listened to people telling me that I was just unlucky and didn’t get a “sleeper” or that he’d grow out of it eventually and that I didn’t reach out to Lucy sooner. Lucy, a massive heartfelt thank you for all your help and support. Given the lack of expertise and support in relation to sleep issues provided by maternity hospitals, GPs, public health nurses etc I am not sure what we would have done without you.
