At two months old our baby boy started to sleep though the night, from about 9pm until 5am. This was like a dream come true for us, especially as he was breastfed. We were very proud and happy and assumed this would continue. However, at about four months he woke a couple of times, then a couple more times…I started to feed him as the boob seemed to be the only thing that would settle him and to be honest it was easy and quick…….< Unfortunatley this 'ease' was short term and his wakings became more and more frequent, every hour at the worst time. My husband couldn't settle him, J would bawl if his dad tried to soothe him, so I would take over and feed him making the breast even more associated with his sleepy comfort. His daytime naps were haphazard to say the least and after a few months of this we realised it wasn't getting better, it was actually getting worse and we were setting ourselves up for a life of tiredness, crankiness and totally irregular sleep times. We had heard Lucy on the radio several times and finally looked at her website to 'suss' her out. I read the testimonials from other parents and couldnt believe it. I found several stories exactly like ours and even this fact made me feel better. We were not alone! We made the appointment with Lucy straight away and it was the best thing we did, the best money ever spent, a real investment in our family's health and happiness. Initially I was worried abot cutting out the night feeds (J wasn't hungry he was comforting) as I had heard many horror stories about how difficult it would be, breastfed babies screaming themselves to sleep etc.. This was not the case with Lucy's help. After only a few nights, less than a week, no more night feeds!!!! And more imortantly, no stress, no bawling, no worries! It was smooth and easy with the guidance of Lucy. Now J has two naps during the day and goes to bed at 6.30pm without any issue. Putting him to sleep has become a non-event. He loves his routine as much as we do and he's a happier chap because he's getting the sleep he needs. We highly recommend Lucy. She will bring sleep harmony to your family and you will always be thankful for her calm, direct, proffesional help.
