“I honestly think I was at my lowest point of motherhood when I sought help from Lucy….. I was exhausted and sleep deprived from an over tired 2 year old with multiple night wakings/terrors and a 10 month old who I’d just stopped breast feeding and who was waking for a night time bottle. I feared bedtime as it took so long to get my 2 yr old to sleep only to start bedtime all over again for my baby. I was carrying a lot of personal issues from my own childhood which left me with no confidence in what I was doing. Lucy picked up on this at our first meeting. I second guessed myself all the time as I was so desperate not to repeat the mistakes of the past.. Lucy’s help and wisdom was enormous. Her approach was the gentlest route to get my kids on a good routine and make bedtime enjoyable. The tools Lucy taught me are invaluable and because of a few curve balls life has thrown at us since my time with lucy ended meant that the original bedtime routines went out the window. However, this didn’t result in a return to chaos. Instead my husband and I stayed calm, rode out the storm and returned our kids back to a sweet slumber routine time and time again. . The image of my little 2 yr old running and jumping into bed after 3 wks of working with Lucy always brings a smile to my face. Its seven months on now and I can put both kids to sleep in the same room at the same time for the night all by myself in a nice and gentle way.
