Nap & Bedtimes are no longer dreaded

Our little boy of 1 year took ill & was hospitalised for 6 weeks. On returning home we were in the habit of being in the room with him while he was going off to sleep at nap & bedtime. We were anxious not to traumatise him more after the difficult time he had in hospital, so it was a habit which we hadn’t broken a year later. It could take up to 2 hours for him to nod off, so either my husband or I had to be present for that time…it lead to huge stress in our lives as it consumed so much of our day and evening & I was heavily pregnant with our second baby. The arrival of baby No 2 was the catalyst for me to take action and contact Sleepmatters.ie as I simply could not physically put the time in while trying to look after another small baby. Lucy listened to our story and compiled a plan for us to follow, to support our wee man through the change of sleep habits in a gentle way, with built in regular consultation and input from Lucy.  It worked an absolute treat! I found that being given the tools to work with along with Lucy’s expert knowledge returned my confidence in my own ability to manage the situation as well. Nap & Bedtimes are no longer dreaded, they are just a normal part of our routine, and our wee man happily settles himself to sleep. Using sleepmatters.ie has had an enormously positive impact on the whole family. I honestly couldn’t recommend Lucy’s services highly enough, and would say to anyone having a tough time regarding their children’s sleep – just make the call, it is so worth it!!
