After almost 6 months of very broken and erratic night and day sleep with a little boy who woke up every 2 hours for night feeds and would not fall asleep on his own we decided to contact Lucy as I was going back to work after maternity leave and we were struggling with the lack of sleep…. We met her in person and had a one hour chat after which we felt reassured that this issue could be fixed. She provided us with the tools we needed to help C fall asleep on his own. After just a few days bed time became a lot easier, C started falling asleep on his own, a few days later we managed to night wean him as well and started working on getting him to sleep through the night. It took a bit of training on both our part and on C’s part but progress was consistent and after 3-4 weeks we finally had our first full night sleep in months, followed by more and more full night sleeps. We can now put a happy, awake baby in his cot at a reasonable bed time and be confident that he will fall asleep on his own and have a good night sleep. However the best part of this training is that even if C does have a tough night due to teething, being poorly etc (which cannot be prevented), we still have the tools to make sure we don’t regress back and that we move on from it for the following night. A few weeks after the end of the training we are now very happy and rested parents and C is sleeping through the night and his naps at the crèche have improved dramatically.
